Jesus Burgers
“Jesus Burgers” is a ministry that started in 2002 when college-aged believers were bold enough to put on a worship night in Isla Vista’s Anaisq ‘Oyo Park. They served free burgers, mostly to the homeless, and began to push back the darkness in the community through on-site service, love and devoted prayer.

When the Del Playa ministry house was established, the burger outreach moved to the front yard and became a weekly occurrence. Over the years, the IV community began to call this free barbeque “Jesus Burgers.”
To this day, every Friday believers gather in Isla Vista to give away 200 Jesus Burgers as a token of God’s love to the people.
Proverbs 18:16 says, “A gift opens the way for the giver and ushers him into the presence of the great.”
May a simple hamburger continue to do just that for the countless individuals that have visited Jesus Burgers from all over the world.
Jesus Burgers begins at the end of September. Come join us on Saturday nights at 6686 Del Playa Drive.
8:00 pm to 10:00 pm – worship & prayer in prayer shed (Upper Room) 10:00 pm until late - serving burgers in the front yard (Jesus Burgers)
