Our Leaders
Jason and Holly Lomelino
Senior Leaders
Jason and Holly met in Isla Vista in 2001 and got married in 2002. They have lived in the city for all of their married life, other than their first year of marriage. They felt called by God to live and raise their family in the middle of IV, having a heart to see a city transformed with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the radical love of God. With seven kids, three dogs, and a revolving door of people all around, life is busy and full, but they are so blessed and thankful to God for the honor of being able to lead Isla Vista Church.
Dani and Kinsey Schick
Worship Directors
Dani and Kinsey's journey began back in 2016 in San Antonio, TX, where they started leading worship together during their high school days. After tying the knot in 2019, they dove into ministry and music in Virginia until 2021. Then, in 2022, they felt God call them to join the Isla Vista Church and Isla Vista Worship crew. Since moving to Isla Vista, they've found a real sense of belonging and are grateful for the chance to serve and make music alongside their friends. They hope to spread the love of God through creativity and artistry, starting in the heart of Isla Vista and echoing across the earth.
Creative Director
Kinsey serves as the Creative Director for Mission Isla Vista, where she oversees the creative vision for Isla Vista Worship, Jesus Burgers, Isla Vista Church, and Isla Vista Thrift. Kinsey is honored to work alongside many talented creatives in Isla Vista, where together, they work to bring the strategic creative vision of heaven to earth through visual media.

OUR VALUES
FAMILY
"God places the lonely in families" (Psalm 68:6a). Through the security found in family, we sustainably grow into our identity in Christ, support each other in our weakness, and join in one another's victories – for the Kingdom of God is found in family.
THE WORD & VOICE OF GOD
We value the communication of God – whether that is through His written word (the Bible), His spoken word, or through the Word himself (Jesus).
WORSHIP & THE PRESENCE OF GOD
We value ministering to the Lord through music and exalting Him in our hearts and with our voices. Hosting and delighting in the presence of God is one of the highest values we hold. We believe having a relationship with God based on intimacy and true experience with Him is of utmost importance as we journey with Him through life. PSALM 16:11.
OUR BELIEFS
The original Nicene Creed was first adopted at the First Council of Nicaea in 325. The Nicene Creed is the defining statement of belief by mainstream Christianity and in those Christian denominations that adhere to it.
“I believe in one God, the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and of all things visible and invisible. And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only-begotten Son of God, begotten of the Father before all worlds; God of God, Light of Light, very God of very God; begotten, not made, being of one substance with the Father, by whom all things were made. Who, for us men and for our salvation, came down from heaven, and was incarnate by the Holy Spirit of the virgin Mary, and was made man; and was crucified also for us under Pontius Pilate; He suffered and was buried; and the third day He rose again, according to the Scriptures; and ascended into heaven, and sits on the right hand of the Father; and He shall come again, with glory, to judge the quick and the dead; whose kingdom shall have no end. And I believe in the Holy Ghost, the Lord and Giver of Life; who proceeds from the Father and the Son; who with the Father and the Son together is worshiped and glorified; who spoke by the prophets. And I believe in one holy catholic* and apostolic Church. I acknowledge one baptism for the remission of sins; and I look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen.”
- Nicene Creed 325 AD
*catholic = “universal” church.
